The Union Cabinet cleared a ₹69,725 crore revival package for the shipbuilding industry. The plan, built on a four-pillar approach, aims to boost domestic capacity, ease financing, support shipyard development, enhance technical skills, and roll out legal, tax, and policy reforms to strengthen India’s maritime ecosystem.
